John Bonacorsi ('19), Staff Attorney at ArchCity Defenders, was quoted in The St. Louis American regarding a federal lawsuit he and ArchCity filed to protect temporary homeless encampments ("Update: ArchCity Defenders Files Suit to Stop City of St. Louis from Dispersing Downtown Tent Camps," May 1). "For weeks, the City of St. Louis has stated that they have enough shelter for the people who want it. This is patently false…There is a severe shortage of adequate shelter space for our local unhoused community, which means that there are hundreds of people who are forced to risk punishment and sleep outside."
