Dror Ladin (‘12), Staff Attorney at the ACLU National Security Project, was quoted in The Texas Tribune after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a 2019 decision in the lawsuit filed last year by the ACLU, striking down President Trump’s use of emergency powers to build a border wall with military funds as illegal (“President Trump Can’t Use $3.6 Billion in Military Funds for Border Wall Construction, Federal Court Rules,” Oct. 10). “The courts have once again confirmed what everyone knows: Trump’s fake ‘national emergency’ was just another pretext for targeting immigrants and border communities. It’s past time for Trump to finally give up on trying to raid the federal budget for his wasteful and illegal project.”
