Rebecca Vallas (’09), was quoted in an opinion in The Washington Post regarding the Biden administration’s dual approach to ending food insecurity for families with children – a 25 percent expansion in SNAP benefits (the largest increase in the program’s history) combined with the child tax credit program (“When It Comes to Ending Hunger in America, Biden Recognizes That Money Changes Everything,” Aug. 19). “It’s huge, huge, huge. Biden is taking historic steps toward addressing the poverty and hunger crisis in the United States that long predated the pandemic.”
