Becca Heller (’10), Executive Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), was quoted in an Atlantic article regarding the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, after IRAP and other groups formed Evacuate Our Allies, a coalition of veteran, humanitarian, and religious organizations advocating early evacuations for America’s Afghan partners (“The Betrayal,” Jan. 31). Discussing the leadup to the withdrawal and the Biden administration’s response to requests for urgent action to secure Afghan allies, Becca noted, “Studying a problem for too long is an excuse to do nothing. . . You don’t study a problem in an emergency.”
